Standard Tracked Window Sampler Rig
This rig forms a conventional style rig and is efficient in drilling in most soil types. The rig can also be adapted to dynamic probing and can achieve continuous dynamic probe data in saturated granular soils where advancement through normal window sampling may have limitations.
There are a number of slightly different model of drilling rig although the attached data sheet records the general specification for the standard tracked window sampler rig.
Some restrictions are in place when using this rig, the rig cannot travers slopes and embankments greater than 1 in 3. It cannot traverse steps. The rig is tracked as such please note the pinch points when manoeuvring the rig to the proposed borehole location as noted in the attached data sheet. Should any of these restrictions be in place a DEMOUNTABLE RIG could be an option.
