Schedule of Rates - 1st January 2006

These rates are exclusive of VAT and do not include for the preparation of an interpretive/factual report on the Site Investigation. An interpretive/factual Geo-technical report would cost in the order of £150 - £800, with a Geo-environmental report being charged at £35/hr for preparation, both are subject to the extent of the Investigations undertaken and the detail required within the Report.

We can also provide an engineer and testing equipment for investigations carried out with JCB or similar equipment, as well as in-situ/recompacted California Bearing Ratio Testing and Plate Bearing Tests.

When works are carried out using JCB or similar equipment, we can provide a fixed price for these works. The charge for a JCB or similar machine is in the order of £200 - £350 per day, dependant upon the type of machine and site location.

We are also able to provide flight auger/cut down (restricted height) drilling rigs, along with concrete coring equipment.

The current charge for our soil’s engineers to attend site is £35/hour. This rate is charged for travelling to and from site, plus a mileage rate of 35p/mile. The soil engineer’s rate includes for all testing and sampling equipment required for normal situations.

Plate Bearing & in-situ CBR Testing equipment is charged at an extra cost, please contact us for up to date charges & lead in times.

CONDITIONS

We (Herts & Essex Site Investigations Ltd) are to be given the best information available regarding the position of any known underground pipe/wire services or previous structures and will only accept claims for damage due to our negligence.

Item 1 b) assumes access for a 4wd vehicle to be able to drive to the borehole position and allows for up to 1 hour moving between positions. Additional time taken will be charged at the rate shown against Item 1 o).

On completion of a borehole it will be backfilled with the excavated material compacted as far as reasonably possible. Any remaining spoil will be heaped over the borehole position or cleared away at extra cost (day work rate).

Whilst all reasonable care will be taken with the work, some disturbance of the ground will be unavoidable and we will only be responsible for damage caused by our negligence.

Our terms of account are net month.
